Our Commitment to

Quality and Integrity

While I offer a selection of my one-of-a-kind vintage jewelry, ready-to-wear creations, and customizable designs, my artistry thrives through collaboration—transforming your emotions into wearable art. The design is guided by your intention and my deep understanding of gemstones, their crystalline structures, and how they uniquely connect with the intended wearer. Each element is chosen not only for its rarity but for its singular qualities, ensuring that every piece is both scientifically exquisite and profoundly personal, designed to resonate on every level.

  • Metals

I work exclusively in high-karat yellow gold (18K, 20K, 22K, and 24K) and platinum—never in 14K gold or white gold alloys.

For designs that use lost wax casting, I use yellow, rose, and green gold, and/or platinum, but never white gold due to the potentially toxic alloys used to bleach its natural color.

    Gems

Many of the gemstones featured on this site were purchased in the 1980s and 90s from gem dealers known for their integrity. Any stones I source for you will come from dealers who adhere to the highest ethical standards, and whenever possible, will be from recycled, repurposed, fair trade, or environmentally and socially responsible sources. Several of the gemstones available here are recycled or repurposed.

Additionally, the Montana sapphires and turquoise offered have been personally mined by my father and me.

  • Certain designs and effects require specific fabrication techniques to achieve the desired result. I may use CAD design and 3D printing, wax carving and lost wax casting, or hand fabrication—each method selected to best suit the vision.

A defining aspect of my hand fabrication process is my meticulous use of breath and fire. Using my breath to power my torch’s 5,000-degree flame, I fuse gold and precious metals, melding them into a single, harmonious jewel without the use of solder or artificial means of connection. This is an ancient, intentional process—it is the fusion of fire, metal, and stone, a transformative ritual that brings your vision to life in the most tangible, intentional way.

  • I am a GIA Graduate Gemologist and a Master Gemologist Appraiser® with the American Society of Appraisers. I am also a partner with Mary B. Reich, GG, FGA, ASA-MGA in the independent gemological laboratory Gemologically Speaking, LLC. Our laboratory is accredited by the Accredited Gemologist Association and is equipped with multiple advanced instruments. We meticulously identify and verify every gemstone used in my jewelry and disclose any detectable treatments to ensure complete transparency.

  • Whenever possible, I do everything I can to preserve and protect the natural world I grew up loving. Every precious metal in my jewelry is tested using X-ray Diffraction Spectrometry, ensuring a precise analysis of its composition and purity. Unlike industry standards that allow 17.5k gold to be labeled as 18k, I guarantee that my metals always meet or exceed their stated purity. Additionally, the gold and platinum I use are SCS-certified and/or responsibly recycled from their original form, upholding both quality and environmental responsibility. If you have further questions about our materials or processes, please ask.

Every jewel tells a story—of earth, heritage, and of timeless allure. If you have any further questions about my materials or process,

I welcome the conversation.
